Low Back & Hip Pain

The muscles in your lower back and pelvis, are capable of causing agonising pain, a consistent nagging ache, or somewhere in between. Excruciating pain can be caused by simple dysfunctions in the muscles, or by serious pathology (the rarer of the two). Clinical massage can help alleviate the pain of the majority of lower back conditions.

The Jing Method™ clinical massage can help if you have:

  • Back pain
  • Hip pain
  • Sciatica
  • Lumbar disc pathology
  • Sacroiliac joint dysfunction
  • Piriformis syndrome
  • Trochanteric bursitis
  • Osteoarthritis

Foot Pain

Foot pain can have a significant impact on walking, exercise and everyday life. I specialise in working with persistent foot pain, including plantar fasciitis, Achilles problems and muscular or soft tissue pain affecting the feet and lower legs.

My approach looks beyond just the painful area. I assess movement, muscle function and, where appropriate, your gait to identify factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. I hold a Level 1 certification in Functional Gait Assessment, which helps inform both treatment and rehabilitation.

Treatment may combine clinical massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and targeted soft tissue work, alongside simple exercises and self-care to help improve foot mobility and function.

Treatment can be particularly helpful for:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles pain and tightness
  • General foot and heel pain
  • Tight or restricted calf muscles
